Egyptian-French Day for Scientific and Academic Cooperation

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, affirmed that the university’s participation in the Egyptian-French Day for Scientific and Academic Cooperation, hosted by CY Cergy Paris in the French capital, represents a valuable opportunity to translate academic agreements into sustainable, well-monitored projects and programs.

This statement was made during his participation in the event held under the theme “Progress, Challenges, and New Horizons,” attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities; alongside a number of Egyptian and French university presidents and senior officials from the Ministry of Higher Education.

The event witnessed in-depth discussions on strengthening academic and research partnerships, expanding cooperation frameworks, and overcoming challenges related to the implementation of joint agreements, with the aim of achieving effective and sustainable institutional collaboration.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh also took part in a roundtable discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in the fields of law, humanities, and social sciences, in support of scientific and research ties between Egypt and France.

At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Dr. Saleh expressed his pride in participating in this important international forum, emphasizing that Port Said University is moving steadily toward strengthening its global presence and activating cooperation with French universities in a manner that benefits students and researchers, and aligns with the Egypt’s vision for higher education and the development of a modern Port Said University.
