Chinese Education Chancellor in Cairo Visits Port Said University

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, received Mr. Lu Chunsheng, Chinese Educational Chancellor at the Embassy of the Republic of China in Cairo, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting addressed ways to enhance joint cooperation between Port Said University and Chinese universities in various research and educational fields.
During the meeting, which was attended by the university’s vice presidents and a number of deans, the university president affirmed his keenness to strengthen cooperation with international research institutions and universities, particularly Chinese ones, pointing to the successes achieved through sending faculty members from Port Said University for training and academic cooperation with Chinese universities.
Moreover, PSU President welcomed the idea of ​​concluding student exchange agreements and sending volunteer professors to teach the Chinese language at the university’s Faculty of Arts.
For his part, the Educational Chancellor at the Chinese Embassy in Cairo praised Port Said University, emphasizing Chinese universities’ aspiration to strengthen scientific and research partnerships with the university.
Along the visit, Prof. Dr. Badr Abdel Aziz Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, met with the Chinese delegation to discuss ways of cooperation between the faculty’s Chinese Language Department and Chinese universities, including student and faculty exchanges, seminars, and workshops. They also discussed the possibility of offering joint degree programs and intensive programs in archaeology.
The visit concluded with a documentary presentation about Port Said University and its capabilities, followed by an exchange of souvenirs. The university president presented the chancellor with a university shield in appreciation of his visit and his role in strengthening cooperation between the two sides.
