The Students for Egypt Forum, organized by Al-Azhar University under the theme “Building Leaders… Building the Nation,” concluded with the active participation of students from Port Said University. The forum aimed to reinforce the role of university students in raising awareness, strengthening national identity, and empowering youth to contribute effectively to societal development.
At the conclusion of the forum, participants issued a number of key recommendations, most notably the adoption of outstanding student initiatives at the university level, along with providing the necessary institutional support to ensure their sustainability and transformation into practical programs serving the community.
Participants also called for the creation of a shared digital platform among Egyptian universities to showcase youth initiatives and facilitate the exchange of experiences and successful practices. In addition, they stressed the importance of expanding awareness workshops addressing the risks of behavioral and digital addiction within universities, while integrating sports and cultural activities as positive and engaging alternatives for young people.
The forum further emphasized the need to support initiatives that promote identity and belonging by integrating them into official student activities, organizing field visits and educational camps, and enhancing the role of universities in supporting family stability through awareness and community programs that help alleviate the challenges facing young people preparing for marriage.
Participants also recommended activating partnerships between universities, state institutions, and civil society organizations to support student initiatives, broaden their societal impact, and invest in developing student leaders through specialized training programs in volunteer work, community initiative leadership, and creating sustainable positive impact.
The forum concluded by underscoring the importance of transforming the Students for Egypt Forum into a permanent annual platform for exchanging student experiences and showcasing successful initiatives, thereby strengthening cooperation and integration among students of Egyptian universities.
