Under the auspice of Dr Prof. Ayman Ibrahim, president for the university, and Dr Prof. Galal Salem vice-president for student and educational affairs, twelve students from the university participated in the bicycle marathon. The marathon was held under the supervision of Mr Ihab Abu Almaaty, head of the general directory for student affairs, Mr Ayman Samir, head of activity department, Mr Mohamed Tamam, supervisor, and Dr Tame Assaed, coordinator. Notably to say, the Ministry of Youths and Sports organized the marathon and set the start point at the tunnels in Port Said. Dr Prof. Ashraf Soby, minister of youths and sports, and Sir Major General Adel Alghadban, governor of Port Said, witnessed the commencement of the marathon. On this occasion, Dr Prof. Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, president of the university, expressed his happiness to have Port Said University participate in this marathon, wishing all the best and success for the participants.
