Abbas Wharf Rehabilitation Project

 Dr Prof. Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, president of the university, was in the reception of Eng. Yahiya Zaki, Chairman of the General Economic Authority for the Development of the Suez Canal Corridor at the Authority’s headquarters in Cairo, in the occasion of celebrating the handover of the project for reviewing and approving designs and rehabilitation of Abbas Whorf in West Port Said port.  The reception was attended by Admiral Mohamed Abdul Aziz Braya, vice-president of the economic authority for the northern sector, Admiral Adel Ahmad Rizq, director general of West Port Said Port, and Eng. Emad el- Din Ahmad Ismail, director of the engineering department.  The review was done by the experts at the public service center at the faculty of engineering under the presidential of Dr Ehab Tolba, professor of port engineering at the faculty of engineering and dean of the faculty of management technology and information systems. In collaboration with Advisor Eng. Hussien Sabour, Supervisor of the implementation of engineering tasks for the Navy and the designer of the engineering central project for Alexandria University. This includes the rehabilitation and upgrading of the wharf with a length of 670 meters to reach the draft in front of the wharf and a depth of 17 meters to receive giant cargo ships of all kinds, including silos and petroleum companies.
