Port Said University, headed by Profز Dr. Sherif Saleh, received Prof. Dr. Mounia Alali from the University of Piemonte Orientale, Italy, to discuss potential avenues for enhancing academic and research cooperation, as well as academic exchange between the two universities.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh welcomed the guest, affirming the university’s commitment to expanding its international partnerships with prestigious Italian universities. He also praised the warm reception the university’s delegation received during their previous visit to Italy and acknowledged the efforts of the University of Piemonte Orientale in supporting academic and research collaboration between the two sides.
For her part, Dr. Mounia Alali expressed her admiration for Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh’s vision and policies in managing the university, reflecting a leadership approach grounded in empowerment, innovation, and team spirit. She commended the remarkable academic and administrative development witnessed at Port Said University. Dr. Alali also valued the cooperation with Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan Anwar, Advisor to the President for International Relations, stressing that the constructive communication with him has helped pave the way for strengthening relations between the two universities.
Dr. Alali further highlighted that her university attaches great importance to enhancing international cooperation and expressed interest in establishing partnerships that include faculty and student exchange programs, joint research projects, workshops, and mutual training initiatives.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized that this visit represents an important step toward fruitful cooperation with the Italian university. He stated that international engagement and academic and research exchange are fundamental pillars for advancing education and scientific research. He also stressed the importance of exchanging expertise and linking research centers in both universities to better serve the Egyptian and Italian communities.
