
The activities of the international conference “Italians in the Nile Valley: A Historical and Cultural Connection Spanning Centuries” kicked off today for the third consecutive year, with the participation of Port Said University and the Catholic University of Milan.
The conference was sponsored and attended by Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, and organized by Prof. Dr. Paolo Branca, Chair of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the Catholic University, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan, Faculty of Arts and Head of Cooperation between Port Said University and the Italian side.
Prof. Dr. Rawya Rizk, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, attended the conference online. Prof. Dr. Badr Abdel Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Morsi Qutb, Faculty of Arts, and a number of faculty members from Port Said University and Nile Basin universities also attended.
