Partnerships with Elsewedy University of Technology

Port Said University, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of the University, signed a cooperation protocol with Elsewedy University of Technology – Polytechnic Egypt, headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan Youssef.

The protocol aims to strengthen cooperation in education, training, scholarships, and student skills development, while enhancing links between academic education and the industrial and technological sectors and preparing students for labor market needs.

The agreement follows a meeting between the presidents of both universities on August 24, 2026, which focused on developing mechanisms for joint cooperation and preparing the protocol.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured Port Said University Career Development Center, where Prof. Dr. Heba Youssef Soliman, Director of the Center and Head of the University’s Training Unit, welcomed the delegation. An introductory session was held for students on scholarships and training opportunities, particularly those offered through the Energy Technology Bachelor’s Program under the sponsorship of Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel).

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Amal Khalil, Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, the University’s deans and faculty members. Elsewedy University was represented by Prof. Dr. Yasmine El-Bandary, Head of Business Development and International Relations, and Dr. Mohamed Ali Saleh, Acting Vice President for Strategic Planning, alongside program directors and admissions and registration officials.

The event also brought together Mr. Mohamed Abu Shadi, General Manager of Sustainable Development at Petrobel, and Engineer Ayman Ashraf, Sustainable Development Sector Manager at the company.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized that the protocol represents a significant step toward strengthening university–industry integration and expanding partnerships that provide students with practical training and scholarship opportunities, reaffirming Port Said University’s commitment to a modern, internationally aligned approach to higher education, scientific research, and workforce preparation.
