As part of its ongoing efforts to expand its Arab and international presence and attract more international students, Port Said University sent a delegation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to showcase its academic strengths, educational programs, and student services, while opening new opportunities for Jordanian and international students seeking to study in Egypt.
The visit reflects the university’s strategy, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, to strengthen its regional and international standing and enhance its efforts to attract international students, supported by its modern academic programs, research capabilities, and comprehensive student services and activities.
The university delegation included:
Dr. Marwa Khashaba, Lecturer of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine and Director of the International Students Unit at the Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Amal Hal, Lecturer of Linguistics at the Faculty of Arts and Coordinator of International Student Affairs at the undergraduate level.
During the visit, the delegation engaged directly with Jordanian students, introducing them to the university’s faculties and academic programs and providing information about admission requirements and procedures, study systems, and the services and support available to international students throughout their academic journey.
The university emphasized that attracting international students is not only an educational priority, but also a key pillar of its internationalization strategy—strengthening academic and cultural connections with Arab and international universities and communities and contributing to stronger Egyptian-Arab relations in higher education.
Jordanian students expressed their enthusiasm about joining Port Said University, highlighting its strong academic reputation and distinguished programs that respond to scientific developments and labor market needs. They also expressed pride in beginning their academic journey at a university with a distinguished community of professors and experts across diverse disciplines.
Port Said University continues to advance its vision of becoming “a more open university to the world and more attractive to international students,” guided by its motto:
“Port Said University… Distinguished Education, International Horizons, and a Future Without Limits.”
The university views its international students as true ambassadors of scientific and cultural exchange between Egypt and the world.
Welcoming the Jordanian students, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, affirmed that international students are an integral part of the university family.
He further stressed the university’s commitment to providing an integrated educational and supportive environment where international students can receive a distinguished education, benefit from the expertise of faculty members, and actively participate in student activities and events—making their years at Port Said University a rich academic and human experience.
