Port Said University Expands Its Global Partnerships with Steinbeis University, Germany

As part of Port Said University’s strategy, under the leadership of Prof. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, to strengthen its international standing and expand its network of distinguished academic partnerships, the university witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Steinbeis University, Germany.

The MoU marks a new step toward establishing a framework for practical and sustainable cooperation in education, scientific research, institutional development, innovation, and professional development, while opening new horizons for joint initiatives, programs, and projects of mutual interest.

Representing Steinbeis University at the signing ceremony was Professor Mario Vaubel, CEO of Steinbeis University, who participated in discussions on potential areas of cooperation between the two institutions.

Following the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh accompanied the university’s guest on a tour of Port Said University’s facilities and campuses, highlighting the university’s capabilities, activities, and ongoing development efforts.

An interactive meeting was also held in the presence of Professor Mario Vaubel, the Vice Presidents of Port Said University, Deans of Faculties, and a number of faculty members. The meeting addressed key contemporary issues, including leadership and executive development, executive education and professional development, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship, and institutional development.

The discussions also emphasized strengthening the integration between education, scientific research, and the needs of the labor market and industry, while expanding opportunities for international knowledge exchange and collaboration.

The two sides explored future cooperation in applied scientific research and technology transfer, professional programs and certifications, leadership development, sustainability and digital transformation projects, innovation and entrepreneurship, academic exchange, and the development of joint academic programs and degrees.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, affirmed that the MoU represents an important step in the university’s efforts to build genuine and sustainable international partnerships. He emphasized that the university’s objective goes beyond signing agreements, focusing instead on transforming partnerships into practical programs, projects, and opportunities that create tangible benefits for students, researchers, faculty members, and university leaders.

He further highlighted the importance of engaging with international expertise and successful global experiences as a key driver of institutional development, knowledge transfer, innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation, while strengthening the alignment between the university’s outputs and the evolving needs of the labor market and industry.
