Port Said University and Suez Canal Container Terminal Launch First Training Program Under Strategic Partnership

Port Said University, headed by Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, has launched the first training program under its strategic cooperation protocol with Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT), headed by Mr. Keld Mosgaard Christensen, in coordination with Mr. Mohamed Khattab, Head of Public and Governmental Relations at SCCT.

The program was organized by the University Career Development Center (UCCD), headed by Prof. Dr. Heba Youssef Suleiman, in cooperation with SCCT’s Training Department. It focused on operational excellence, customer focus, continuous improvement, respect for people, waste reduction, and aligning corporate strategy with daily operations to enhance institutional performance in line with global best practices.

The initiative marks the first tangible outcome of the cooperation protocol, which also includes student training opportunities, scientific and field visits, collaboration in human resources and institutional development, and the exchange of academic and professional expertise to support sustainable development and address labor market needs.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized that Port Said University is committed to building impactful partnerships with leading national and international institutions, transforming cooperation agreements into practical initiatives that create real value. He added that the partnership with SCCT serves as a successful model of collaboration between academia and industry, helping prepare highly qualified graduates equipped with both academic knowledge and practical experience to meet the evolving demands of the labor market.
