The President of Port Said University Launches a Roadmap to Enhance Quality and Accreditation and Link Accredited Faculties to the Government Excellence System

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, chaired an expanded meeting with the management of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center to review the university’s quality and accreditation progress. The meeting was attended by Dr. Heba Ahmed, Director of the Center; Prof. Dr. Morsi Qutb, Head of Quality in the Humanities Sector; Prof. Dr. Maha Ramadan, Head of Quality in the Health Sector; and Dr. Rovan Refaat, the Center’s IT Officer.

The meeting reviewed quarterly performance indicators across the university’s colleges and approved financial rewards for the Faculties of Engineering and Nursing following their institutional accreditation by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). Discussions also covered the Center’s financial regulations and performance-based incentive mechanisms.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh stressed the importance of establishing integrated working groups involving the Quality Assurance Center, the university’s three academic sectors, and the teams responsible for international rankings, international relations, and government excellence. He emphasized that linking accredited colleges to the Government Excellence System will strengthen governance, sustain institutional development, and preserve accreditation achievements.

The University President also directed all colleges and sectors to develop strategic quality plans, expand cooperation with partner institutions, continue supporting accredited faculties, and prepare five additional faculties for accreditation during the next phase.

Concluding the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh highlighted the importance of promoting a culture of quality among students through projects and competitions, reaffirming the university’s commitment to providing comprehensive academic, technical, and logistical support. He emphasized that quality has become a sustainable institutional culture that strengthens Port Said University’s competitiveness and reinforces its academic and research leadership.
