New Achievement for Port Said University… Teaching Pharmacy Opens to Enhance Practical Training for Students

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, affirmed that the university continues its path of development and excellence through the opening of the Teaching Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, aimed at preparing “future pharmacists” according to the latest professional standards and linking academic learning with practical training.

The opening was attended by Prof. Dr. Amal Khalil, Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Kamel Farah, Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector; Prof. Dr. Amjad Mansour, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; and was held under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Rogy Reda Mohamed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, with the participation of faculty members, students, and administrative staff.

The Teaching Pharmacy has been equipped to simulate modern community pharmacies, providing students with hands-on training in medication classification, prescription reading, drug dispensing, patient communication, understanding drug interactions, and pharmacy management.

The event also featured innovative student products made from recycled materials, reflecting the university’s commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness, in addition to showcasing the achievements of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector.

The celebration concluded with honoring the team behind the project in recognition of their efforts, while the university emphasized that this initiative reflects its strategy to invest in human capital and graduate highly qualified, innovative professionals capable of serving the healthcare sector.
