Green Horizons Initiative

Under the auspice of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, the virtual inaugural meeting of the Green Horizons Project (TNE2025-2758) was held in collaboration with the University of Wolverhampton, with funding from the British Council under the Going Global Partnerships program. The project aims to strengthen international cooperation and advance cross-border education between Egypt and the United Kingdom.

The meeting reviewed the project’s objectives, governance structure, and implementation framework. Discussions focused on the joint development of the Green Innovation and Sustainability Training (GEIST) program, its pilot delivery through workshops and lectures, the preparation of a feasibility study for a cross-border education program in Chemical Engineering, and the establishment of the project’s Advisory Board.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Kamel Hassan, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ismail Bassiouni, and Dr. Fathy Ahmed Shoukry from Port Said University, and Dr. Aman Der, Dr. Fedelin Chuenbo-Majaya, Prof. Chike Oduza, and Ms. Kate Wilson from the University of Wolverhampton.
