
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, received Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heneigel, President of Suez University, during a brief visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between Egyptian universities and supporting higher education and community service.
The meeting included discussions on enhancing academic and scientific collaboration between the Universities of Port Said and Suez in several fields of mutual interest. The visit coincided with Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heneigel’s participation as a member of the examination committee for a Master’s thesis at the Faculty of Engineering at University of Port Said.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Saleh, Advisor to the University President for Institutional Development, toured the University Center for Career Development (UCCD) and the Training Administration. They were received by Prof. Dr. Heba Youssef Suleiman, Director of the Center and Head of the Training Administration, along with the center’s staff.
The visit coincided with the launch of the first training day for administrative staff from Port Said Governorate, Port Fouad, and the city districts. This comes within the framework of the protocol signed between University of Port Said and Port Said Governorate, aiming to enhance professional performance and promote institutional innovation through specialized workshops designed to identify personal interests and develop essential teamwork skills.
Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heneigel expressed his admiration for the level of organization and the efforts exerted at the University Center for Career Development, as well as the specialized training programs it offers. He also praised the distinguished academic standing of the Faculty of Engineering at University of Port Said.
At the conclusion of the visit, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh affirmed that University of Port Said places community service and human resource development at the top of its priorities, noting that the University Center for Career Development represents a successful model for linking the university with the local community. He also emphasized the university’s openness to fruitful cooperation with Egyptian universities in pursuit of sustainable development goals.
