First Aid Seminar: Awareness Saves Lives

Under the auspices of Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, and Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, General Supervisor of the Student Welfare Sector, the Social Solidarity Unit at Port Said University organized an awareness seminar titled “First Aid… A Simple Act That Saves Lives.”

The seminar was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Akaby, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity for Strategic Communication and Media, the Ministry’s official spokesperson, and General Supervisor of Social Solidarity Units in universities.

The seminar was organized in partnership with the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, with the participation of Mr. Abdel-Hamid Metwally, Youth Representative on the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society in Port Said and Head of the Branch Operations Room.

The session covered the basic principles of first aid and how to deal with common injuries. It was delivered by trainer Osama Khafaga, Head of the Emergency Teams at the Red Crescent in Port Said, who emphasized the importance of mastering essential life-saving skills and building confidence in responding to emergency situations.
