
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, participated in the inauguration of the new terminals at the Suez Canal Container Terminal. During the event, he met with several presidents of Egyptian universities, leaders of major industrial entities, as well as a number of ministers, public figures, and media representatives.
The meetings featured extensive discussions on opportunities for cooperation between the university and the industrial sector, particularly in the fields of logistics, research collaboration, and training programs for both faculty members and students. The discussions also explored ways to leverage the advanced infrastructure available in the East Port Said area.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized the university’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with state institutions and the private sector. He highlighted the importance of developing academic programs and offering practical field training that equips students with the necessary skills for the local and international job markets. The meetings further addressed mechanisms for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the university.
Additionally, the university president discussed with the leadership of the Suez Canal Container Terminal the potential for implementing joint projects in logistics, marine engineering, and supply chain management, along with expanding opportunities for summer training and scientific visits for students.
