Port Said University Maintains QS Sustainability Ranking

Port Said University has retained its position in the QS Sustainability Rankings 2026 for the third consecutive year, reflecting its efforts to support Egypt’s Vision 2030. This achievement aligns with statements from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Egyptian Cabinet regarding the excellence of Egyptian universities.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, congratulated Egyptian universities and emphasized the importance of collective work under the state’s strategic vision. Since 2022, the university has developed its staff and established a Sustainability Committee, becoming one of the first to move toward the sustainable university model. It has also supported the Ministry of Planning and the Institute of Governance in launching sustainability competitions and rankings across governorates.

QS Sustainability Rankings for Port Said University:

2024: 1001–1050 globally, 27th in Africa, 12th in Egypt

2025: 1141–1160 globally, 35th in Africa, 13th in Egypt

2026: 1301–1400 globally, 46th in Africa, 23rd in Egypt (during a transitional restructuring phase)

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh praised the Graduate Studies and Research Sector and the ranking teams across faculties under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Saleh Zurumba, highlighting that the university’s sustained ranking demonstrates its institutional strength. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, international research partnerships, and collaborative efforts to secure a position befitting its stature while supporting Egypt’s vision for a sustainable and prosperous future.
