the Fifth Joint Educational and Awareness Seminar for University Students

The Popular and Military Defense Forces organized the fifth joint educational and awareness seminar for university youth under the title “People’s Unity Created Renaissance.” The event was held in cooperation with Port Said University and Port Said Governorate, with the participation of Zagazig University, Suez Canal University, Arish University, Suez University, Damietta University, East Port Said National University, East Port Said Technological University, Sinai University, and Horus University. The seminar took place at the Port Said Cultural Center.
The event was attended by Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said; Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University; Major General Hesham Hosny Hassan, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces; along with a number of executive, military, and academic leaders, including Brigadier General Ahmed Mahdy, Assistant Commander of the Forces for Military Education; Brigadier General Mazhar El-Habian, Military Advisor to the Governorate; and Colonel Abram Babawy, Director of Military Education at the University.
The seminar began with saluting the national anthem and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by artistic and musical performances presented by Port Said University Choir, led by Prof. Dr. Hossam Gamal El-Din and Dr. Ragi El-Moqadem. The program also included “A National Anthem” and “Tales from the Heart,” directed by Mr. Mohamed El-Maliki.
During the event, families of martyrs and distinguished young people from Port Said, including individuals with disabilities, were honored. Dr. Ghada Amer, Professor of Engineering at Benha University, delivered a lecture entitled “The Role of Technology in Modern Warfare.” The seminar concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields between Port Said University and the Popular and Military Defense Forces.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh welcomed the attendees and affirmed the vital national role of the Egyptian Armed Forces in protecting the homeland and instilling values of loyalty and patriotism among young people. He also paid tribute to the souls of Egypt’s righteous martyrs.
Major General Moheb Habashi praised the fruitful cooperation between the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Higher Education in enhancing youth awareness, noting that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is witnessing an unprecedented development renaissance.
Meanwhile, Major General Hesham Hosny Hassan conveyed the greetings of Lieutenant General Abdel-Magid Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
