
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, announced this prestigious international scientific achievement, which marks a significant milestone for the university. He explained that the Leiden Ranking is one of the world’s most reputable research performance rankings, known for its accuracy and transparency, as it relies solely on data from global research databases without any institutional input, ensuring full objectivity.
Dr. Saleh Zaramba, Director of the University Rankings Unit, highlighted that the Leiden Ranking evaluates universities based on four key indicators: research impact within the Web of Science database, research collaboration, the number of open-access publications, and gender diversity among researchers.
In the 2025 Leiden Ranking, Port Said University was ranked 2245th globally out of more than 3,000 universities worldwide.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh expressed his pride in this remarkable achievement, which reflects the continuous development of the university’s research system.
