Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, conducted an extensive inspection tour of the Faculty of Engineering. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Taha Farag, Dean of the Faculty, and several members of the University Facilities Committee, headed by Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Saleh, Advisor to the President of the University for Institutional Development, as well as the Faculty’s Vice Presidents and the Faculty Secretary.
As part of the university’s plan to modernize its facilities, the President inspected the New Programs Building and directed its rapid development and upgrade, along with the rest of the lecture rooms, to achieve the university’s vision of comprehensive infrastructure modernization.
The tour also included a visit to the Information Systems and Technology Center, where the President listened to a presentation by Prof. Dr. Islam Shaalan, Director of the Center, who reviewed the Center’s activities and the initiatives it oversees. These include practical training for the “Digital Egypt youths” initiative—one of the presidential initiatives aimed at promoting digital transformation and building the capacity of young people in advanced technology. At the conclusion of his tour, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh commended the distinguished efforts of the Information Systems and Technology Center team, headed by Prof. Dr. Islam Shaalan, expressing his appreciation for the highly efficient tasks they are accomplishing, reflecting the university’s commitment to steady progress toward comprehensive digital transformation.
