As part of strengthening international academic and research relations, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, made an official visit to the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy. He was accompanied by a delegation from the university, where he was received by a number of senior officials from the institute.
The visit was coordinated by Prof. Safaa Ramadan, who worked at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan until the end of 2022. The President of the University had entrusted her with establishing the Department of Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine at Port Said University who opened the meeting by introducing both sides, welcoming the attendees, and emphasizing the importance of joint cooperation between the two parties in the field of oncology.
The visit concluded with a field tour by Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh and the visiting delegation, where they were briefed on the latest technologies used in oncology surgeries, including robotic surgery, proton therapy, and CAR-T therapy, which are among the most advanced treatment methods in the world.
