The Supreme Council of Universities held its regular meeting, headed by Prof. Dr Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, today, Saturday, in the presence of Dr Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Council and members of the Council, at the headquarters of Alexandria University. The Council observed a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs of Palestine, and prayed to Allah to bless them with His vast mercy. The Council thanked the Alexandria University administration, headed by Prof. Dr Abdulaziz Qanswa, President of the University, for hosting the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities. The council asserted the following points:
- The readiness of all university hospitals to deal with any medical emergency due to the repercussions of the events in Gaza
- Maximizing benefits from the Egyptian Knowledge Bank
- Intensifying the work of gifted and talented care centers at universities
- A new electronic system to facilitate the examination of academic regulations for interdisciplinary programs
